KazEOSat-1 (Kazakhstan Earth Observation Satellite – Kazakhstan Earth Observation Satellite) – Kazakhstan’s first remote sensing satellite, was ordered by the Government of Kazakhstan in European company “Airbus Defence and Space” on the basis of satellite platform “Leostar-500-XO”.

April 30, 2014 from Kourou (French Guiana) it was successfully launched the first Kazakh remote sensing satellite of high resolution KazEOSat-1.

As a payload on board the satellite is installed scanner “NAOMI” (New AstroSat Optical Modular Instrument), which allows taking pictures with a resolution of up to 1 m (in panchromatic mode) and up to 4 meters (multispectral mode).
